USS Midway Museum
Located in downtown San Diego, the USS Midway Museum is a historical naval aircraft museum. The longest-serving aircraft carrier of the 20th century, the USS Midway was the only carrier to serve the entire length of the Cold War. The ship holds an extensive amount of aircrafts and visitors are able to embark on a self guided audio tour to learn about the history of each. Don’t forget to walk south of the museum to see the Unconditional Surrender statue resembling the famed “V-J day in Times Square” photo from 1945.
San Diego Natural History Museum
Located in Balboa Park and founded in 1874, the San Diego Natural History Museum is the oldest scientific institution in Southern California.
