Once you are on Shelter Island Drive you will reach a roundabout intersection, turn right (southwest) and continue on Shelter Island Drive. Once everyone has their boarding passes, a crew member will escort you to the Yacht America. If everyone arrives prior to 10:45 AM, we will start boarding early and depart early. You will be walking on a wooden dock, so please make sure to wear comfortable close-toed shoes. High-heels and stilettos will get stuck between the wooden planks.
We depart on time. Please help us help you by checking in at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. If you are late, the Yacht America will sail off to sea and you will not receive a refund for your absence.
FREE All-Day Parking is located in the parking lots surrounding 2050 Shelter Island Drive. There is free parking on the street as well.
Restroom facilities are available on Yacht America during the trip. If you need to use the restroom prior to check-in, there is a public restroom facility next to the Shelter Island Boat Launch Ramp at 2210 Shelter Island Drive.
Tips & Guidelines
We recommend dressing warmly and in layers as the air is always cooler on the water and conditions can change hour to hour. You can always shed layers as necessary. We do provide blankets for guests that may become cold. Comfortable shoes and windbreakers are a good idea. Watch the forecast and bring a rain jacket if necessary.
Food & Beverages
Water, soda, chips, and granola bars are included during your trip. Beer and white wine will be available for purchase during the trip. Feel free to bring your own lunch & drinks (including alcohol). If you have any glass bottles, please bring plastic cups. Red wine is not allowed as it stains the deck.
Our crew works very hard to ensure your trip is a great experience. If you’d like to share a gratuity, please catch any of the crew as you depart.
If you would like to purchase a shirt or a hat during the trip, just ask a crew member and they would be happy to assist.
